A positive way to colour the local economy

18 November 2011 No Comment

A leisure park designed with the theme of water and wind – where you can actually find out what it’s really like to fly – was always going to require a finishing touch that was out of the ordinary.

And with the vibrant colours of Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® pre-finished steel cladding the walls of the ZEP Leisure Park in Zeeland, Middelburg, Netherlands ensures the building itself is as adventurous as the activities inside.

There’s no drab, grey colours here!

The enormous complex, which includes a family amusement park, retail stores and restaurants, is designed around a wave and a whirlwind, mirroring the key main water and wind elements of the local Zeeland area.

Undulating roof style

The 25-metre-tall ZEP Tower – from where you can truly take a leap of faith as you float to the ground – is the wind, and the wave is the main theme of the park’s design with an undulating roof style.

With plenty of activities in one place, whether you’re into shopping, sports or adrenalin-fuelled highs, excitement is main attraction of ZEP Leisure Park, which is reflected in the use of the bright, vivid colours of the Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra® range throughout the complex.

A bright spot in Zeeland

Aztec Yellow, Saffron and the deep, rich red of Burano were chosen from a choice of 40 different Colorcoat® colours by NIO architects, ensuring that not only is the ZEP Tower a local landmark, so is the park itself. And it will remain a bright spot in Zeeland for many years to come thanks the oustanding colour and gloss retention of Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra®.
