You’ll be singing for your supper at this hotel
This Berlin hotel is sure hitting the right note for its aspiring guests. Europe’s first ‘music and lifestyle’ hotel, the 300-room nhow Berlin is a creative fusion of zany, colourful interiors and state-of-the-art studios where musicians can work, rest and play.
Mirror-covered cantilever
Towering next to the River Spree in the heart of the city’s creative district, it is the building’s spectacular mirror-covered cantilever, otherwise known as the ‘Sound Floor,’ which takes centre stage.
It’s home to not one but two recording and mixing studios, a sound booth for laying down vocals, mixing desk, and post-production equipment and expertise for film and video editing.
Exterior that stands out

It’s all adds up to a serious bit of multimedia kit and what musician wouldn’t take creative inspiration from the accompanying views across the city as they muse their latest mix. There’s even a 250sq-ft isolated suite next to the studios, providing the perfect chill-out private zone where both the famous and the fame-hungry can practise without fear of disturbing – or being disturbed by – other hotel guests.

Delightfully vivacious interior
Designed by architects NPS Tchoban Voss, creativity pulses through its very core. The exterior already stands out thanks to the upper floor, whilst the interior is an almost other-worldly experience – vast, vivid and delightfully vivacious thanks to the design skills of Karim Rashid – providing yet more inspiration for guests.
Public areas can be transformed into makeshift studios on the spot, gigs can be hosted on the terraces – it’s all dancing to the same creative beat.
But perhaps the most sure-fire hit for travellers, performers and patrons is the fact that here, anything goes. Gripped by the sudden urge to belt out a tune or two? No problem sir. Room service really will be music to your ears because they’ll even bring you your very own Gibson guitar to strum with your supper.
Is nHow Berlin hitting the right notes?
If you’ve ever yearned for fame and living the rockstar lifestyle, the nhow Berlin is surely worth checking out.

I’m actually going to Berlin next month. Wouldn’t mind staying here!
Interesting, I’d like to spend a night ….. I wonder how much it costs.
