i dont agree with toby, he is influential if not for his own work because of the interest he has arousen in people not related with architecture. the very fact that you consider him someone consdered influential for those who “think they know architecture” is one of the reasons he is so influential.

Regarding the list, such a short one i think relies more on personal taste, but i believe Rem Koolhas should be there before Piano for expl.

It is bizarre that there isn’t a single mention of a engineer here despite the fact that almost all the building shown above are innovative engineering accomplishments.

To say that the Rotating Tower is being developed by an architect without giving any credits to the structural engineer co-designer makes no sense whatsoever.

Some amazing images from the leading worlds leading architects, I particularly like the Peter B Lewis Building in Cleveland, USA. I Think the curvaceous lines makes the building look soft.

That is an interesting building, I can see how the design will maximize the amount of natural light. It does remind me a little of a 60′s ‘modern design’ only in glass not concrete. Having said that some of these have turned into much loved building’s and this may well be the same.

the ecohab(last house)looks like it is a cardboard cut out just placed ther. It is too flat!!! Also, there is no shaddow to be seen of it!!

My favourite has to be the Longbow Place, Larkspur Colorado house, as it looks really nice and cosy.

Also, the Orchid house scares me a bit, it is too wierd.
