Hardy Sherwood win Colorcoat® contractor award

Essex based roofing contractor, Hardy Sherwood have won the prestigious Corus Colorcoat® contractor of the year award. David Hanson, Commercial Director for Corus Colors presented Leon Wright and Julian Dear with the award at this years Colorcoat® contractor day which played host to more than 90 industry members. Hardy Sherwood scooped the prize from over 390 contractors after registering after using Colorcoat® products on 398,000m2 of their projects. CA Roofing were awarded the runners-up spot 347,000m2 worth of Colorcoat® products used on their projects.
The awards wrapped up a series of seminars focusing on collaboration in the supply chain. Richard Webb, First Vice President of ProLogis discussed the vital components which they and their clients look for when working with the supply chain. Stephen Poole, Supply Chain Manager for Carillion then discussed the areas they consider as key when working with and selecting their supply chain partners. These included health and safety and sustainability. Dave Taylor then discussed the part Corus Colors plays in terms of delivering the best products and services through the Colorcoat® brand.
The event also saw the official launch of the Confidex® Club. The initiative give contractors the chance to win prizes with a value of £150,000 and also enters them into a draw to win a 40 year old classic car simply by registering their Confidex® Guarantees with Corus.
The day was wrapped up with dinner and drinks at the Ladies Evening at Chester Races. The event was enjoyed by all particularly backing the right horses.
