Corus to host Part L seminars

With the new part L regulations coming into force in April 2006 Corus are inviting architects and specifiers to two seminars to be held on 19th April 2006 at the Sofitel St. James London Hotel and on 20th April 2006 at the Radisson Edwardian Manchester Hotel. The aim of the seminars is to provide clear, simple and practical information on complying with the new Part L regulations for the building envelope.
The evening presentations, chaired by George Ferguson (ex-RIBA President) will consist of three short presentations followed by the opportunity to discuss the key issues affecting architects relating to Part L..
The presenters will be:
- Laurie Chetwood – Senior Partner, Chetwood Associates
- Ray Ogden – Professor of Architectural Technology, Oxford Brookes University
- Mark Clemson – Business Development Manager, UK & Ireland, Corus
Corus strongly believes in not only developing products to meet the changing needs of the industry, but also supporting the industry in meeting these new obligations.
The seminars will provide:
- An understanding, in simple terms, of the impact of the changes to Part L, and how this will relate to the building envelope.
- A mixture of practical and theoretical guidance on air-tightness through the work Corus have carried out in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University.
- An insight into the latest thinking in designing energy efficiency into buildings.
- A Q&A session with the expert panel.
