Colorcoat® architects seminars a success

25 Apr 2008

This years London leg of the Colorcoat® architects seminars was well attended by the great and the good of some of the capital’s best known practices. The seminar was held on 22nd April, at 66 Portland Place (RIBA Head Office).

Chair for the event was George Ferguson, ex-RIBA president and founder of the national group Acanthus. The seminar theme was Colour in the Built Environment and speakers included Ken Hall, Director of Global Construction for leading property developer ProLogis. His subject for the session looked at practical considerations for the use of colour and its influence/impact on the buildings appearance.

Paul Monaghan from Allford Hall Monaghan Morris then looked at colour in the built environment from the architect’s perspective, in particular what are the challenges and rewards of using colour in a creative way in the built environment?

The seminar was also an opportunity for Rodney Rice, Product Development Manager for Corus Colors to discuss how Corus are providing architects and clients with the colours of their choice with a focus on the new Colorcoat HPS200® Ultra product.

Around 100 people attended with most providing good feedback. The next Colorcoat Seminars featuring the same theme are taking place in Dublin on the 14th May and Liverpool on the 28th May.
