Colorcoat® specification

Colorcoat® specification

To ensure the long-term performance and appearance of the building, it is important that the pre-finished steel product is specified alongside the cladding system. To secure the peace of mind that comes from a rigorously manufactured and tested product from Corus, ensure Colorcoat® as well as the individual product name is specified e.g. Colorcoat HPS200®. Here we provide model specifications for Colorcoat HPS200, Colorcoat Prisma® and Colorcoat Celestia®.

Colorcoat HPS200, Colorcoat Prisma and Colorcoat Celestia have a unique surface effect which enables a visual authentication to ensure that the specification has been adhered to. All site practice should be in accordance with Corus recommendations or conform to those of the selected cladding system manufacturer.

If you require any further information or advice about the design and construction of metal clad buildings, please contact the Colorcoat Connection® helpline on 01244 892434. Alternatively, we can arrange for one of our specification team to visit you at your premises.

Site Practice
Having designed and specified the building envelope, it is important to ensure that the integrity of the pre-finished steel cladding system is maintained during its handling and fitting on site. Good site practice should include ensuring a safe working environment, providing the right training and equipment for all operatives, ensuring the cladding system is handled with care and fitted correctly using appropriate ancillary components.
