Colorcoat Celestia®

Colorcoat Celestia® was launched in 1996 and offered designers the opportunity to specify rich metallic colours in a durable and guaranteed pre-finished steel product. Initially available in six metallic colours this was increased to 16 in 2003. Supported by the market leading Confidex® Guarantee, offering cover for up to 20 years, Colorcoat Celestia® has been specified on a number of landmark buildings, including the Millenium stadium in Cardiff.

Through the Colorcoat® brand, Corus has a reputation for product innovation and in 2005 Colorcoat Prisma® was launched. Its combination of superior aesthetics and durability has resulted in Colorcoat Prisma® sales volumes growing at a significant rate.  Specifically Colorcoat Prisma® offers:-

Superior aesthetics- delivered through an exciting range of solid and metallic shades as well as the Repertoire® colour matching facility for bespoke colours. Colour and gloss retention is at the forefront of industry standards.

Why withdraw Colorcoat Celestia®?

Colorcoat Prisma® offers all the benefits associated with Colorcoat Celestia® and more, and has become a natural successor. Market take up is such that Corus has now taken the decision to withdraw Colorcoat Celestia® by the end of 2007.  The withdrawal will simplify product choice and supply chain logistics whilst providing the market with a superior alternative through Colorcoat Prisma®.

All existing Colorcoat Celestia® order commitments will be fulfilled. Any future requirements for Colorcoat Celestia® colours which cannot be covered by Colorcoat Prisma®, should be referred through the Colorcoat Connection® helpline.
