Air-tightness and the Building Envelope, Dublin (October 06)

Corus held its Dublin Colorcoat® Seminar entitled ‘Air-tightness and the Building Envelope’at the Guinness Storehouse on the 4th October 2006.  The aim of the seminar was to provide clear, simple and practical information for architects and designers on how to create an air-tight building envelope.

The  evening  event,  chaired  by  James Pike (RIAI President) consisted of three  short  presentations  followed by the opportunity to discuss the key issues  affecting  architects  relating  to  air-tightness.  The  seminar provided:

  • An understanding of the impact of reducing energy loss when designing a building.
  • A mixture of practical and theoretical guidance on air-tightness through the work Corus have carried out in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University.
  • An architect’s insight into the latest thinking in designing
air-tightness and energy efficiency into buildings.

Presentations are available for download to the right.
