Architect Waring and Netts have specified Colorcoat HPS200® in both Sargasso and white with Eurobond’s Europanel to provide an attractive finish with inherent fire protection, increased sound insulation and greater thermal performance for Boldon School, a PFI secondary school in South Tyneside.
The combination of Colorcoat HPS200® (now superseded by Colorcoat HPS200 Ultra) and Europanel met the schools demands for a maintenance free, thermal and acoustically efficient building envelope.
Fixed to vertical studwork, the cladding achieved a Grade A fire rating. Additionally, the greater thickness of the panels improves sound insulation and thermal efficiency throughout the structure. These advantages are particularly beneficial for the school’s 220-seat community theatre, swimming pool and sports complex.
