The Hyundai and Mitsubishi car showroom that now occupies the building is complete with offices and a modern garage with testing facilities. Brdr. Engberg Biler A/S has grown in both turnover and sales since they opened their new car dealership in Nykøbing Falster, on a large site in the northeastern part of the Danish town’s industrial district. They built a small car dealership to promote the Hyundai and Mitsubishi car brands, which have been well received by the people of Falster.
Practical and Durable
As a single-storied building with a double-pitch roof Brdr. Engberg’s two buildings blend well into the area that is dominated by car dealers and smaller industrial and craftsman companies. This is due to the chosen façade panels from Corus Building Systems (CBS) Nordic, which was a natural choice to blend into the environment. “The showroom is constructed as a traditional hall building with steel frames and concrete elements. The façade is the element where you can supply the building with aesthetics to lift it and provide character. Corus products offer many great possibilities at the same time as practical and value for money products for – in this case – a successful car dealer in the province”, says Architect Jan Fogtmann, CADUBYG ApS.
“It is smart to look at and then there is no maintenance. The latter was a must from our part, so we can concentrate on what we do best, namely the cars.”

Changeable fashion using Corus Colorcoat® Products
The Hyundai and Mitsubishi car showroom uses a combination of two types of panel; a vertical Colorsteel Sinus panel that forms a high plinth while the upper part of the façade is covered with Plank® panels from CBS Nordic designed as horizontal overlaps. Both elements are made using Corus Colorcoat HPS200® pre-finished steel in Sirius and Orion. These colours complement the white flashings, the black roofing felt and the stones covering the site. “The façade reminds you of the clinker plating you often see on single-family houses and holiday cottages so maybe it feels like home for the employees of Brdr. Engberg. If fashion should change sometime it will be possible to dismantle and change the plates without any difficulty, another advantage of this extremely flexible product,” Architect Jan Fogtmann, CADUBY ApS. points out.
